My passion for connection is a cornerstone of my existence. Together with my husband, Jason, we merge the joys of bringing people together and the artistry of cooking. Our culinary escapades span the globe, from the Caribbean to the Philippines and the Mediterranean, weaving nights filled with love, laughter, and profound connections with our nearest and dearest.
Connection has always been at the core of who I am, and it's something I deeply value in every aspect of my life.
In November 2023, I returned from a transformative six-month journey through Europe, America and South America. The travels were more than just exploring new countries; they were a deep dive into self-discovery, a journey that gave me a new understanding of who I am. Every place became its own classroom, offering invaluable lessons from different cultures, traditions, and ways of life. What I gained from those experiences wasn’t just the beauty of each location, but a renewed sense of freedom, mindfulness, and a stronger connection to the world around me.
One of the most transformative parts of my travels was finding refuge in natural hot springs, where I could recharge in serene, peaceful spaces. These moments of stillness brought me closer to nature, to myself, and to the beauty of life in ways I never anticipated.
I’ve always been moved by the arts, especially music. I’ll never forget the electric energy of the Mad Cool Festival in Spain, where I finally lived out my dream of seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers live. I danced through three days of incredible performances, from Offspring to Robbie Williams to Lizzo. The joy of that experience—being immersed in music, in the crowd, in the moment—was a reminder of how powerful live art is in connecting people. It's something I carry with me wherever I go, whether I’m listening to local artists or exploring the soundscape of a new city.
Poetry has been my voice since I was young, and it continues to be my favorite way of expressing myself. Whether on stage at poetry nights or speaking at events, I find power in the words that connect us all. Sharing my stories, thoughts, and reflections with others is a gift I cherish, and it’s something I continue to pursue in both my personal and professional life.
Now, as I build my own business and carve out the extraordinary life I’ve always dreamed of, my love for humanity and the desire to make genuine connections remains at the heart of everything I do. Collaboration Poetry Book:
The Worlds In Our Words
It all begins with an idea. The World In Our Words is a Poetry Book filled with 22 Poets poetry from around the world.
How did it start?
My journey began with a desire to publish my life's collection of poetry. Realising I didn't have enough for a solo book, I fused my passions for community and poetry. Collaborating with people toward a common goal, I offered a platform to those with limited opportunities for their own works.
A call on social media and personal networks yielded an overwhelming response. Twenty-two contributors from around the globe joined, covering nationalities and languages spanning Israel, Scotland, Ireland, America, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and Australia. This project, The World In Our Words, has evolved into a joyous celebration of diverse voices, allowing poets to express in their native tongues, transcending boundaries.
Without constraints, the poetry submitted has surpassed expectations in quality, reflecting all aspects of life, from the serious to the humorous. The World In Our Words is a unique project that showcases incredible poets, portraying the multifaceted nature of humanity with varying subjects and styles.
